Natalie began her career as an educator and school administrator before segueing into the counseling field. She has clinical experience working for local non-profits, including Catholic Charities and The Community YMCA. Natalie worked for several years as a school counselor for a local Independent school providing psycho-education, group and individual short-term counseling, and outreach to families. She balances her time working as a therapist and providing student support in a private school in Monmouth County.
Natalie has post-master’s degree training in Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) from The Beck Institute (PA), mindfulness from Oxford University (UK), and coursework in supporting neuro-diverse children and adolescents through Landmark College (VT). She also earned a certificate in School Management and Leadership from Harvard University. Natalie has experience working with educators, law enforcement, and neuro-diverse clients. She specializes in working with clients managing cancer diagnoses, companioning with clients as they navigate grief and loss, and those experiencing anxiety, life or relationship challenges, self-esteem issues, adjustment disorder, relational issues, and parenting struggles. Natalie has worked with children, adolescents, college students, adults, geriatrics, couples, and families. Her approach to counseling is through an eclectic lens, and she endeavors to make each client feel comfortable, heard, and validated.
Credential Information:
MS: Master’s of Science degree, Clinical Mental Health Counseling (60-credit program)
LPC: Licensed Professional Counselor (requires successful completion of Master’s program, passing score on board exam, 4,500 supervised clinical hours (approximately 3 years) as a Licensed Associate Counselor, and a commitment to satisfy ongoing professional development requirements.
NCC: National Certified Counselor (professional certification which requires a passing score on the board exam, completion of specific educational and training requirements, and ongoing professional development requirements).
